Change of seasons

This weekend is a market double header.

Tomorrow I'll be here -

in my usual spot in the foyer.

On Sunday Cottage Nerd and I will be joined at the hip at -

The seasons are changing, so it's time to clear some stock to make way for new cooler weather gear.  Come along for some fantastic bargains - once they're gone, they're gone!

Cottage Nerd

This weekend Cottage Nerd is offering summer skirts at crazy prices.

To take advantage, come visit at the Sister's Market on Saturday and the Shirt and Skirt Market on Sunday.  First in, exceptionally best dressed!

Special order

Sometimes I have the opportunity to work on a custom order.  It's a funny thing - to make a garment for someone when all the arrangements are made across the ether, without ever seeing the customer, or hearing their voice.  This is the result - and I'm quite pleased.  The green floral cotton is the last little bit left from a series of a-lines I made for last summer.  The yoke is a beautifully soft Bettina Liano denim-look cotton.  I think this would look good on Luce, with her strawberry blonde hair - but there's no more fabric.  *sigh*  It's already packaged and on its way...

Modish Creators Market

I'm very pleased to be a stall-holder at the inaugural Modish Creators Market.

While I was away on holidays, Kylie and Kelly (the creative force behind this exciting new market) posted an on-line interview with Squirt Baby on their blog.  Gee - do I really sound like that??!!

Anyhow - really looking forward to being part of this new venture - mark it on your calendar right now!

Recovering from our latest adventure

We have spent the past 10 days travelling with my sisters, my Mum, brother-in-law and assorted kids. A convoy of three cars to transport 13 of us around outback NSW and country Victoria.  And, although feeling a little tired from the 3000km journey I'm feeling full of inspiration.

A ruin at Silverton

The Darling River at Wilcannia

On the lunettes at Mungo National Park, watching vehicles traverse the dusty roads

Mt Buffalo - so cold compared to the rest of our journey!
