Tiny hands

I spend a lot of time knitting these days.  I've lost count of the number of mitts I've churned out this year.  And now there's a new addition to the Squirt Baby knitwear range - baby mitts.  Block colours appeal to me, but this time I've added a contrasting cuff, just to break things up a little.  They'll be available in the usual range of colours and a few sizes, but right now there's pink, purple storm, oceanic and barley to fit tiny hands around 3 months old.

The unreliable blogger

I expected, as my children got older, to have more time.  Or, at the very least, opportunities to sew, make & create that were not punctuated by shovelling food into hungry tummies, pouring drinks, watching the latest trampolining trick or helping research for homework tasks.  Life is getting busier with extra-curricular activities, play-dates, and the 23 school committees I foolishly said yes to.  This morning after netball whilst shopping for a present for this afternoon's birthday party I bumped into a girl I went to school with (a loooong time ago).  Yes, we'll do dinner.  But it might have to be next year, cos we're kind of over-committed at the moment...

In the meantime, my marketeering life goes on.  Tomorrow I'm off to Shirt and Skirt at the Abbotsford Convent.  I know it's winter, but it will be a pleasant change to be outdoors for a while.  I've been doing a bit of sorting in my sewing room, so there'll be a bargain basket tomorrow of bits and pieces.  A bit of pre-spring cleaning.
